Please read ahead of time so you know what to do at the dinner.

You are sitting at the head table, you DO NOT need a ticket.
When you arrive, report to the Scholar Athlete check-in desk. Turn left when you walk in and walk down the hall to the Maryland Room.
Pick up your name badge from the table (place on left lapel) and report to the Scholar Athlete assembly area. Greater Baltimore NFF members will be there to greet you.
Please review the head table seating arrangement so you know where you will sit. The head table has two tiers.
Do not leave the Scholar Athlete area once you arrive.
You will be asked to line up for entry into the ballroom.
After you reach your seat at the head table, remain standing for the Invocation by Reverend Banks and the National Anthem being sung by one of your fellow nominees.

Each Scholar Athlete will be introduced after dinner and a short biography of your accomplishments will be read.
When your name is called, push your chair back (not too far) so that you may stand with ease when introduced.
As you hear the name of your school, stand and remain standing until the spotlight leaves you. Then sit immediately - do not pull chairs back to the table at this time.
After the last Scholar Athlete is introduced, please stand as a group and remain standing. Look for the signal from the podium. Do not sit down again until instructed – pull the chair back to the table.

During the program five regional winners will be announced. A comprehensive biography of each winner’s accomplishments is read first but his name is not announced until the biography is finished. Do not anticipate that you might be a winner even though you may feel it while hearing the accomplishments read. Don’t get up from your seat until you hear YOUR name.

If you are a winner – as soon as you hear your name announced, please make your way to the podium to receive your award.

Think in advance about whom you wish to thank and any brief comments you wish to make if you are a winner.

After the program is concluded, all five winners please report to the Maryland Room for pictures. Please tell your families/guardians in advance to meet you in that location if you are announced a winner.

Each Scholar Athlete receives a laminated certificate signifying him as a Scholar Athlete. These are placed immediately in front of your place at the head table before dinner. Please be sure to take the plaque and dinner program when you leave. If you are a scholarship winner, you will receive a letter at the dinner for further scholarship instructions.
