2014 Scholar Athlete Awards
North Region:
Samuel Keenan, St. Paul’s Crusaders
Twice voted first team All-League, this three year starter was a team captain and ranks #2 in his class. A member of the National Spanish Honor Society, he also plays lacrosse, swims, is in the chorus, is a church acolyte and is an Eagle Scout.
South Region:
Brian DeStefano, Severn Admirals
A two time All-League selection and team captain, he ranks in the Top 10% of his class and is a member of the National Honor Society. A National Merit Commended Scholar, he also plays lacrosse, and is on the wrestling and math teams.
East Region:
Nicholas Hammer, North Harford Hawks
An All-Conference performer and county Student Athlete of the Month, this Crab Bowl participant ranks in the top 20% and is a member of the National Honor Society. He also plays baseball and basketball.
West Region:
Ryan Robertson, Walkersville Lions
A first team All-League performer and second team All-State, this team captain ranks #1 in his class and is a member of the National Honor Society. He also plays baseball, is a member of FCA and President of the Neck Tie Club.
Central Region:
Stelios Mastoras, Poly Engineers
An All-City selection on both offense and defense, this team captain ranks in the Top 5% of his class and is an AP Scholar and National Merit Scholar. Winner of the team’s sportsmanship award, he also runs track, plays basketball and is a youth coach.
